FAQs
About Young Transportation
What is Young Transportation bus charter service?
Family-owned charter and motorcoach operator based at 843 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC, operating continuously since 1939. 50+ vehicles maintained at our own 21,000 sq ft Asheville facility, over 100 team members, 1.3MM+ miles driven in 2025. Services span charter and motorcoach group travel, K–12 activity bus and school transportation, event and corporate shuttles, multi-day tours, airport transfers (incl. AVL), and season-long institutional contracts for universities and pro athletics.
What makes Young Transportation different from other charter bus companies?
Three generations, one standard — family owned since 1939. We employ our own drivers (nothing farmed out) and maintain every vehicle in-house, giving direct operational accountability from quote to trip execution. Our drivers and staff have some of the longest tenures in the industry, and more than 75% of trips come from repeat customers.
Booking & Planning
How do I book a Young Transportation charter bus?
Submit trip details through the quote form or call the team directly at (800) 622-5444. Written quote requests get a response within one business day; for urgent or time-sensitive needs the phone line is fastest — Mon–Fri 8am–5pm ET.
How far in advance should I reserve a charter bus?
Earlier is better, especially for peak travel dates, multi-day trips, large groups, or itineraries with several stops. Young can review availability and vehicle fit once trip details are shared.

What happens if charter plans change?
Schedules can shift due to weather, traffic, event timing, television, overtime or tournament brackets. Trips should be planned with flexibility in mind — share schedules, venue details, contacts and contingency needs during the quote process, and share updates with the team so transportation can be adjusted.
How are pickup and drop-off locations handled?
Multiple pickup and drop-off locations can be included. Transportation is planned around passenger counts, pickup points, venue addresses, campus locations, hotel transfers, airport pickups and return timing.
Can a Young Transportation charter include multiple stops?
Yes — hotels, attractions, restaurants, rest stops, airports, venues, return movement and multi-day schedule planning. Shuttle service can include multiple stops, parking areas, campuses, hotels, venues and facilities based on operational needs.
